Moreover, each year Expur is deeply involved in the development of oilseed production through multiple flexible partnerships with farmers, including selective pre-financing contracts.

Expur is known for having a multitude of delivery points, as well as an accurate and fair method of quality and quantity control at factory reception. Therefore Expur has gained the confidence of its suppliers. Another important factor that has helped Expur become a benchmark in the business for their partners is the promptness of their payments.

Most of Expur’s seed requirements, totaling close to 380 000 tons per year are purchased from romanian farmers at harvest time. Expur has developed a relationship of trust with romanian farmers after years working with them, hand in hand, to obtain the best quality seeds.

Licenses and certificates

Expur obtained the following certifications for activities concerning the manufacturing and storage of oils and fats (crude and refined vegetable) and storage of oleaginous seeds:

• ISO 9001:2001 Quality Management System.
• ISO 14001:2005 Environmental Management System.
• ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System.

All the above mentioned certifications are valid until 15.02.2011, after which they will need to be renewed. Concerning the biodiesel plant, Expur complys with SR EN 14214 standard, which is the European standard for biodiesel fuels.
