Expur has financed significant investments during last 10 years not only in order to increase the factory's performance but also to improve it's energy consumption and to reduce it's level of industrial waste production year after year.

Concern for it's impact on the environement has lead Expur to invest in a new waste water treatment station at Slobozia. Thanks to this type of installation, Expur is able to clean the water used in its industrial process. This clean water can then either be reused or released without any risk of polluting the environment.

Expur also invested in new biomass boilers in Slobozia to supply its factory with steam produced from renewable energy. These new boilers burn sunflower hulls instead of gas. This investment allows Expur to signigicantly decrease it's gas consumption and reduces the level of greenhouse gas produced.

Expur is permanently looking to increase the efficiency of existing production capacities, and one of the directions which is being pursued is to build a co-generation facility, in order to use the steam produced for technological processes and to supply the factory with electric power.
